Oh I love it!!! This is in your house?
Wow! That is incredible!
I’m so impressed! I gave up on Halloween decorations years ago, but mine were never that impressive.
Thanks everyone! I love this village–put a lot of work into it. :)
*Amy – Yes, this is in my front living room–I’ve been collecting Department 56 Halloween and Christmas Village pieces for five years now? Hoping after the holidays I can replace the village(s) with a nice reading chaise. ;)
I love your village!!!!!
I love it!
OMG Trish!!!! That is so stinkin’ adorable I don’t even know what to say!!!! Doesn’t it just kill you to take it down after Halloween?!! I’m not sure I could. :P
The village is awesome. I am envious :). I am sure my girls would do some damage to that! Maybe in 10 years or so, I can collect something like this!!
I agree, it’s amazing!
I am so envious. This is absolutely adorable. I dare not show my girls as they would want one too.
I love everything about that. Every single thing on that table is awesome.
Your Halloween Village is so impressive. I’ve never seen anything like it. Christmas villages, yes, but never Halloween. I’ve been staring at this for quite some time and just had to say how much I like it.
Where did you end up finding the lichen?
Again, thank you thank you! I’m a little obsessive about the village but it’s just so much fun! All in all the dimensions are 6×3 feet
*Debi – I leave it up until Thanksgiving, then goes up the Christmas (though I admit the Christmas isn’t as good).
*Michelle – Emma came over the other day and she LOVED the village. Kept saying “I see, I see.” :) But yes, little hands would be tempted to touch for sure!
*Vivienne – You should start one!
*Pax – I can’t even tell you how awesome it IS. Several of the pieces make sounds…can’t get enough.
*Margot – Thank you for coming by. ;) I was always in love with my mom’s Christmas village but the Halloween is just too dang cute.
*Jason – I ordered some online!! Saved the day but I overestimated and have way too much. ;) Now, water-based spraypaint for the styrofoam was impossible. Gave up and used paint–so half is spraypainted, half is painted.
Oh my goodness, that’s so…intricate! Whoa! Very cool.
So cool–I bet it is even more interesting in person!
I had no idea there was a Halloween village! Now that my kids are gone, I’m entirely changing my Halloween decorating. Might have to look for some of these pieces.
That is so cool! I want to come over to your place and spend the day looking at it. (don’t worry, I live much too far away)
That is so cool. I haven’t seen a Halloween village before. Christmas, yes. What fun.
I love Department 56 merchandise. I simply cannnot imagine how much time, effort, and money went into this display. How long to you leave it up? With that much preparation, I would be tempted to leave it up until Thanksgiving.
Oh wow, I LOVE this! I’ve always been fond of Christmas villages and had never seen a Halloween one. Great pictures :D
I want to see it. Emma and I need to come over before Thanksgiving to look at it. Did you have it up last year? I think you did at the old house. I love it, and I am sure that it has gotten huge since then. Maybe one day, but those baby hands are in everything these days.
Just wait, you will see soon enough.
Again, thanks everyone for your comments!
*Lisa – Look online for deals–they can be found!
*Molly – I do leave this up until Thanksgiving when the Christmas village replaces it. ;)
*Brooke – Emma just loves the village. You just need to teach her no touchy!! Easier said than done, right?
