Wow, amazing picture!42 consecutive days over 100? I can hardly even imagine . . .
That's one scary sky!
What an incredible shot, Trish! But here's to some relief for all very, very soon! *my fingers are crossed*
Everyone I know in Texas (all four of you) should move up north where the weather only tries to kill you every now and then. :)
Great picture! I can not wait until fall arrives...though it seems like cooler temps and rain will never come. During the summers, I always wonder why I live here?
I wouldn't mind sharing a bit of our rain with you...
There is just so many things wrong with the statement "Dallas will break its record for consecutive days over 100 (42 days) this Saturday." It sounds horrible.
Wow, what a picture! I love the windmill in it!
We're sweltering too, but nothing like what you're suffering through. Great photo!
*Trish - Unfortunately I see the 100 degrees carrying on for another month!*JoAnn - I took this picture while standing next to a storm shelter! Texas gets some nasty storms.*Debi - I hope so, too, Debi--this summer has been miserable!*Trisha - You guys have a pretty brutal winter up in Chicago, though! My body doesn't do so well with the cold. ;)*Laura - This summer has been the worst! Wouldn't be as bad if we were at least getting rain. I can't wait until October either--seems it will never come!*Kailana - Send the rain our way!*Softdrink - Like I said in email, the record is in 1980 and their last 100 degree day was September 16th! Another month?!*Rhapsody - I love the Texas country but so rarely have a camera with me to shoot it. Same with the midwest and all the farmland.*Bermuda - Here's to fall coming soon for all of us!
I definitely don't miss the storms in Dallas. We can have bad weather in Austin too but it seemed much worse in Dallas. I swear I felt like we were on tornado watch all year long the last year I lived there! That is one cool looking picture though. Try to stay cool Trish. It's unbearable in Austin too. We need rain!
I love that picture! It's so "Where the Heart Is".
What an amazing picture. Beautiful, but a reminder of the power of nature.
