Missed this!!!! Can't believe a year has gone by already. Love all your short hair. So cute. In looking through these photos and last years' I realize the cheeser grins totally run in the family.
Looks like a lot of fun! Christmas is going to be hard for me this year, having just lost my gram, but if I can get myself into the holiday spirit, I am going to make those shortbread cookies. That is if my husband -- who loves to bake and is the one who normally handles the holiday treats -- is willing to share the kitchen. ;) Thanks for that recipe!
*Rae - I missed you too! And the smiles? We were all screaming CHEEEEEEESE so that Emma would smile. Ha! Do what you gotta!
*Andie - Pretty sure we all had huge sugar headaches by the end of the day!
*CJ - Eight is pretty ambitious and makes for a LONG day. I hope you and your neice have a wonderful time! What's on the menu?
*Rhapsody - Emailed you the link to Fantasy fudge. So good!
*Violet - We look forward to Bake Day every year! Will be even more fun as the babies get older.
*Anna - I'm so sorry about your gram--I hope that you can do something to help remember her this season. :) And if you try the shortbread recipe I hope you like it. Remember that the yield is low so if you want more the recipe should be easy to double.
Crap. Now my keyboard is all gross with the saliva I drooled on it looking at these pics. :P
And what a gorgeous family of girlies you all are! Just think--in a couple years Elle will be there helping too. :D Oh my gosh, and your Mom--she seriously looks like she could be your sister!!! I bet she hears that all the time, huh?
Those all look delicious! And what a great tradition.
I've decided not to bake anything this year. My mom and mother-in-law both have bunches of cookies and my daughter's going to a friend's house to tomorrow to do some baking.
*Debi - Thank you for your sweet comment and compliments and I'll pass it on to my mom as well. It'll be a lot of fun when the girls are both old enough to help! Can't wait for that day.
*Melissa - Lots of dancing around and singing--Bake Day has definitely become a day to be merry.
*Meg - Too bad! We definitely could have used an extra taste-tester.
*Bermuda - Hope your bake day was fun!
*Melody - Yum indeed! Thanks Melody.
*Samantha - Ha! Yes, I do think that baking with kids is probably chaotic. But good memory making, huh?
*Irene - I think I've gained 10 lbs just from eating! Ha!
*Softdrink - It's the "cheeeeeeese" :) And the buckeyes are serious yum.
*Diane - Thanks for the comment about the stockings. hope they become a holiday treasure!
*Elise - Yup, the cake balls were delicious!!
*Gnoegnoe - Hmmmm, need to look up speculaas cookies!
*Carol - It's funny how baked goods tend to multiply! Everyone passing some around--secretly I'm looking forward to when they're all gone. ;)
*Les - Valentine's Day is a perfect excuse for Baking. I sent the caramel recipe via email--hope you enjoy!
*JoAnn - I'm sure your girls cherish Bake Day as much as we do. We're continuing tonight with my brother and sister who weren't there last week. Can't wait!
Emma looks so cute. I bet she is just a hoot to hang out with. I wish all of our kids to get together and cause some havoc that is owed to us ;) Remember the crazy things we did at grandmas? Though I still say it was the boys who were so naughty.
