Great idea! I should do that with my husband. We've both gained a bit in our 11 years of marriage. The baby weight didn't come off as well with the third baby. :)
I could never do this with Houston. He is the most competitive person I know. It would get ugly. But I love, love, love. Can't wait to hear who wins. What is the prize?
I love how you captured this on photo! Looks great! Very creative too. I have been working out *a lot* in the past 2.5 years and it feels great. Husband didn't join me, he's simply traveling wayyy too much to have a more structured life. Good luck on your journey! It's great you can do it together!!
*Jenny Girl - And my man loves his ice cream! ;) Hope we can motivate each other.
*Rhapsody - Oh yes--it's nearly impossible trying to do it alone while your husband is eating ice cream!!
*Diane - Nothing like seeing it in front of you every day to kick it in gear!
*Michelle - LOL!! We thought about asking Chaz and Brooke to join us but they're WAY too hard core. ;) Not sure what the prize is--I suggested him cleaning the house for a month but I think that's a little out of my range. :)
*Kailana - I agree it's so hard to do alone!!
*Belle Wong - Thank you. :)
*Bermuda - Thanks! Need the luck.
*Galnextdoor - LOL! Hopefully we can stick to it.
*Cessie - I do love working out but when I stop it's so hard to get back into it. Especially now with the baby and the restricted schedule. Just have to work it out!
*Debi - Well, sadly Scott doesn't weigh much more than I do! He doesn't have a lot to lose (and I only have about 15 pounds) but hopefully it'll remind us to be more aware.
*Elise - Yup--trying to give up on those sweets is tough. I've taken much of our left over holiday junk up to work!!
Sigh. My husband and I need to do this. Again. Seems like it's our routine every other year. Lose, gain, lose, gain. Actually, shhhh, don't tell him, but my job keeps me fairly fit. Lots of walking, squatting, lifting, etc. And I bike. But if it'll help him, I'll make it a team effort. Now to convince him that ice cream is evil. :)
*Samantha - We're also using MyFitnessPal to track calories in and out. Yucky business this losing weight!
*Carol - It's MUCH easier to tackle weightloss with someone else!
*Les - That's wonderful that you're able to do so much moving around at your job. I'm at a desk all day and sometimes only get up to use the restroom. Yikes! I stopped reading your comment at Ice cream is evil. Ha!! ;)

ReplyDeleteLove this!!
ReplyDelete*Kay - It is the bathroom mirror! So hard to take a picture of. ;)
ReplyDelete*Pax - Grief-giver!!! :P
*Kristi - This was actually Scott's idea--it's much easier when he's onboard. Mostly I'm just tired of not fitting into my clothes properly!
*JoAnn - Time to get moving!!
It's hard to diet when the men are not cooperative. Good luck and I will be cheering you on!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! But yes, definitely easier when both of you are on board.
ReplyDeleteLove the daily reminder and friendly competition.

ReplyDeleteGood luck! I know that things would go a lot better for me if the guy would join in, too!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great wordless Wednesday pic!

ReplyDeleteLOL! How fun to do this together. Couldn't do this with Rich though--he'd be nothing but a pile a bones before I got to where I wanted to be. :P
ReplyDeleteGood for you & good luck. I would fail at biggest loser. Love the treats way too much...

Good luck!!! We are both trying to lose weight as well...it isn't easy but at least we are working together to eat healthier :)

ReplyDeleteAnd that riding his motorcycle is not the same as biking! ;)
