No Trisha and Unfinished Person—the bookshelves aren’t freaking done yet. Happy?! :)
Ha! Ok, the bookshelves are *mostly* done—as in all of my unread books are happily organized; it’s the “read” shelf that has been driving me batty. I pulled off a number of books to store in a bin under a bed. And then I pulled off a number of books that I don’t have a lot of interest in keeping. And then there’s Scott’s shelf, which is full of textbooks that are terribly outdated. I have contemplated removing a few here and there to see if he notices, but I’m too chicken. Yes, I’ve asked and I typically get the response: “If you get rid of all of your books, I’ll get rid of all of mine.” So…until I can tackle that one “read” shelf, I can’t consider my Great Shelf Reorganization complete.
Plus I know that several of you take great pleasure in the fact that my shelves are so chaotic. So, why deprive you of that? ;)
Anyway, since I didn’t manage to finish a paper book in February (yes, if you’re wondering it has been since January 2nd), I’ve decided to make a goal to finish at least ONE stinkin’ book this month. I mean for goodness sakes, I only have twenty pages left in Love in the Time of Cholera. I’m about half way through The Kitchen Counter Cooking School and I have made zero progress on What Mothers Do. Bah.
But I do plan to partake in some Bookish Fun this month! Less you all start thinking I’ve turned into a food blogger (cooking seems to be the one thing I CAN do lately—and spend time with Scott at the same time).
First—the Cloud Atlas Readalong! Hosted by Book Club Care and Avid Reader Melissa. Hurrah!! Please feel free to join us! You only have to read 15 pages a day!
Second—Christina is hosting March Mystery Madness and I am determined to pull that big Sherlock Holmes compilation off my shelf.
Third –Bloggiesta, now hosted by Suey, is back! I’ve never actually had a chance to participate before, but I’m hoping that I can steal a few hours away sometime on March 30, 31 or April 1 to do a bit of much needed updating (anyone else notice the big nasty black exclamation point on older posts where my signature disappeared?!).
Now for the fun part! I’ve pulled off several books from the shelves that need new homes and I thought I’d offer them up to you first! I don’t know how many recipients I pick—guess it just depends on my mood and how much interest there is. Last time I ended up giving everyone who spoke up two books. And I’m sorry—I love you—but I can’t afford to ship anything overseas right now. Most are read, which means that my signature is in the front cover. Hope you don't mind!
**Picture no longer matches list as some books have been spoken for**

One Rule. You must have left me at least two comments before you may enter (just any time ever). If you must go and find two posts to comment on, fine, but I will also evaluate whether you have really made an effort or not. I know…terrible Trish. I only have the best intentions—I promise. Otherwise just let me know which books interest you.
Sooooo, that’s it for me! I don’t know yet what I’ll be doing today. Hopefully whipping up something in the crockpot. Hopefully not any heavy cleaning. Hopefully some time at the park with that chickpea banana.
On the Blog:
Looking Back to Last Week
I'm kind of too lazy to figure out when the last time I did a Sunday Salon was and how many posts I did between then. Definitely check out Operation Crockpot Part 1 and Operation Crockpot Part 2 as well as Going au Natural in March. No, I'm not trying to turn into a foodie blogger (but if you want to send me cookbooks to review, I'd be game!!!). ;)

Ten Month Update!
Looking Forward to Next Week
Hmmmm. Wordless Wednesday. Update on "Eat it Real" challenge on Friday. Hopefully other things too. ;)
What’s going on with you today? Reading anything fantastic? Or more importantly—cooked up anything fantastic in the crockpot recently? Ha!
