Thanks guys! I simply love the Bradford Pear trees this time of year when they're in full bloom. But they lose those blooms so quickly! The title of the post comes from a church song--though that song references Apricot Trees. "I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the Apricot Trees." :)
Wow! We got a foot of snow last weekend and tonight it's been raining and around 35 all night... My driveway is a skating rink but your amazing photos give me hope. Spring is coming. It is. Right?
Those looks JUST like cherry blossoms. I didn't realize they weren't! I absolutely LOVE when the cherry blossoms come out here. They're especially gorgeous around the Reservoir, making the perfect run even better!
Spring has sprung in your neighborhood! Yay! It's supposed to be in the 70's all next week, which is crazy for Nebraska in March. Guess I can work on the tan I didn't get in Hawaii!
And, yes. You needed to post more than one picture of that sweet babe, but I'll forgive ya. ;)
Thank you guys for your comments! Sadly the blossoms are already gone and the trees are green. This early spring has me a bit nervous about the heat me might be up for this summer!
The trees are not cherry--they're Bradford Pear trees, though not fruit bearing. The blossoms are white--aren't cherry blossoms pink?
Les--I cry a little inside every time I think about your rainy trip. Hope you got at least a bit of sun. Same thing happened to us when we went to Oahu a few years ago (in March).
stunning!
ReplyDeleteWow! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteNo pretty buds here yet so I loved seeing these.
ReplyDeleteTrish, your little cutie is looking more and more like mommy I think.
Very nice.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful trees and cute Elle! :) Fun pictures to see early in the day!
ReplyDeleteHow funny - it totally looks like popcorn. And what a beautiful young girl looking it all over! :--)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! We'll soon have flowers here, I hope. And of course you're forgiven. :)
ReplyDeleteEasier to forgive the last than the first.
ReplyDeleteLove it! :)
ReplyDeleteIts getting warm here, but no blooms yet! (Also, love the last photo!)
The trees are gorgeous as is the little one! Her eyes are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteOooh, so beautiful! Now I see what you meant the other day about the Bradford Pears. :) And Elle's lovely look of wonderment is a very nice touch!
ReplyDeleteLove the trees! Is that what Elle was looking at? Or were you dancing for her again?
ReplyDelete*Meg - Yup! We don't get the cherry blossoms down here--only the redbud blooms (which are still gorgeous), but LOVE these bradford Pears.
ReplyDelete*Softdrink - Hmmm, perhaps Scott was dancing for her this time. Either that or she's sleeping with eyes open. I call her Stoneface...
Wow Trish! Those look like something out of a magazine!!! Gorgeous!!! And that baby of yours is the most gorgeous of all :)

ReplyDeleteSadly, we don't have them here. :(
And Elle, as always, looks adorable.
